Island Root Kava Bar Suntree

I love this place! Whether it’s coming to work from my laptop or hang out with friends it’s always a great time. The patrons are super chill and everyone is always in a great mood.

My husband picked this place out thinking it was a traditional bar as we are not familiar with Kava. We were surprised to find they didn't serve alcohol but the drinks they did have were amazing. We got a Kava and CBD based drink flavored with ginger that was delicious. They also have a pool table, ping pong, and Foosball available while you hang out and sip your drinks. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff was so nice. Angela was our server and she kindly explained the menu and their customs. I would absolutely recommend stopping here. My wife and I LOVE Island Root! Their Nitro teas are impeccable and their staff is amazing! My dumbass forgot my wallet once and the manager made sure to reach out to me immediately. Great products, and friendly, HONEST staff.. Island Root is our #1!! Hands down!

These guys do it right. I think we may have gone on a pride day because the redhead fella was a little zesty, but very nice and welcoming. Pretty sure I found a photo of him.

This is the best kava bar I’ve been too. The teas are super strong and taste surprisingly good. The guy serving was very friendly and knowledgeable, my guilty pleasure whenever traveling to south Florida. You guys should consider opening a location in north Florida!

Another of Melbourne's main stay kava bars. This one in Suntree is like many of the other franchise's bars. It features a pool table and ping pong. The crowd is eclectic as is expected at Kava bars. Unlike other Kava bars in the area, being located in Suntree on the cusp of Viera, the crowd here is more white collar and sophisticated. If you've had a funky experience before at a kava bar, give it another try here. Connor is awesome and has cinematic knowledge beyond his years - he Lewis me hipped to the latest independent film making the rounds as well as timeless classics. His shifts are punctuated with great and sometimes shocking films on the TVs. Update: Stopped in for the 4 test anniversary party and was reminded of how much I love hanging out here. I don't get in as often as I used to but was instantly greeted by familiar faces and warm welcomes. This is not atypical for the kava community but it feels more real here. Had a nice night with a couple shells and a cold tea which tasted just as delicious as they always do. Had a slice of cake and am looking forward to doing the same next year with maybe a few more visits in between.

I just recently tried kava for the first time, and decided to give a different place a shot. This place was great! Lauren was very informative and a pleasure to speak to. We tried quite the variety of Kratom teas and kava. I will say that if you are new to kava do not consume too much as it can make you a bit nauseous. We’re newbies and had about 3 blends of the Kratom tea and two types of kava and after a little while I did feel a little nauseous. This portion of my review is referring to the product itself and not on the establishment. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff and of course the kava and Kratom. I will definitely return here and I highly recommend it.
